Windows 7 with Service Pack 1.
I run disk cleanup, including system files. "Windows Update Cleanup" gets rid of about 70 MB. When I restart the PC, there is no configuration screen that tells me NOT to turn off the computer while it does the configuration. Not sure why; I usually see that screen whenever I use the Win Update Cleanup.
Then I run Windows Update, and find out that there are four updates to be installed (below).
Is Win. Update Cleanup tool broken? As long as I leave it alone, there aren't any problems with Windows Update asking to install the updates over and over.
Never saw this problem with the cleanup tool before.
I include IE version info at bottom, in case that helps. Also...When I go to "About Internet Explorer, the box is checked to update IE automatically.
Another troubleshooting step that I tried: Ran Microsoft FixIt tool in order to reset Windows Update. The problem persists, unfortunately!
